The intended learning objectives for the course are self- care, self-reflection, professional integrity and ethics in the context of the human services field which are assessed thought rating scales by the agency and faculty instructors. They are assessed through verbs such as reflect, apply and demonstrate. The assignments are constructed for the students to assess their growth and critically reflect the dominant discourses. The learning outcomes are aligned through actions (where certain tasks completed and how so) within the student’s practicum. As I am a new instructor, new to some of the 101 material and following the course outline that was previously constructed by other faculty members, I do not yet feel confident to identify any changes that require to be made. I am however, confident in adjusting instructional methods for learning outcomes to be achieved in order to create a CoI.
