Feedback - Connecting the Dots

I appreciate Hattie’s recommendations because I feel that it is the most practical aspect of this. course thus far. It does not solely view the tasks completed but delves further into the understanding because it is one thing to complete a task but it is important to comprehend as to why it is done. My practice has aligned with feedback through the questions of what the students are learning (goals), how to get there and where to go next. In order to improve the effectiveness of feedback, I can continue to complete the following:

  • Be specific
  • Be timely
  • Prepare comments
  • Use “I” statements
  • Outline as to why feedback is being provided
  • Sandwich comments, positive, improvement and positive
