In looking back at my first post, I noticed I was quite broad in my description on how a CoI is to be developed. I use terms such as respectful, but did not delve further into what that looked like or provide an example. I should have enhanced social presence through demonstrations of open communication where students feel comfortable and safe to ask questions, particularly during posts. I should have encourage light appropriate humour as we are in a pandemic which could have been quite welcoming. An improvement about social presence I would make is to introduce myself with my pronouns and provide space where students can introduce themselves along with something that is unique or a talent that they have to highlight their strengths. My idea of social presence has changed with the fluidity of cohesive responses as I feel that can foster relationships in the class and a CoI.
