I feel it is important set the expectations for online environments as Vaughan et al, highlight how personalities can shine through the online web! This is where I find it helpful to outline that we are in an academic setting and interacting with professional and respectful language can begin the building blocks of a foundation when writing documentation such as assessments and case notes in the working environment. I also highlight how remaining culturally sensitive when making comments is important as students will be interacting with clients from multicultural backgrounds and all walks of life. I like the reminder that ideas are be to challenged as this is the beginning of critical analysis where I think that setting this as a norm is beneficial.
